Version 0.4.4 - Cursor, Resolutions and Palette Renames

A small and very annoying update to do, as I have figured out through voluntary testers (my friends) that the game may not scale properly on all monitors. I assumed that setting a base resolution for a WebGL build at 1280x720 would probably cover most common cases, however it turned out not to be so. New, smaller resolution should help solve the issue a little bit, however it may not in some fringe cases. This is all part of a bigger problem, which I am not equipped to solve right now due to how I structured the game. Tis a mistake laid in foundation, I'm afraid. Still, I have a few thoughts. I'll deal with it.

Hence, what did I change:

  • base resolution for the game is now 960x540 (half of fullHD). This will work better for MOST cases. Don't try to launch it vertically on mobile tho;
  • added an 'Auto' resolution option, which does not work as intended and is, in fact, useless. Don't thank me;
  • renamed some of the color palettes in accordance with suggestions from the outside;
  • replaced small 'n' button on the Hint/Number mode switch with a big 'H' button so that it makes more sense;
  • made some more 'under the hood' resolution logic tweaks;
  • there was a problem with a WebGL build where the default hardware cursor won't hide properly and appear over the in-game cursor. It should be fixed now. If you ever see a white dot anywhere - you're imagining it;
  • WebGL build now has a 'fullscreen' button in the bottom right corner. Thank itch.io;
